Step 1: Install the WSMV-TV Channel
First things first, we need to install the WSMV channel from the Roku Channel Store:
- Turn on your Roku and connect it to your TV and WiFi
- Scroll down to “Streaming Channels” on the Home screen and select the Roku Channel Store
- Search for “WSMV” or “News 4 WSMV Nashville
- Select “Details” under the channel listing
- Choose “Add channel” to install (it’s free!)
Note: You may need to enter your Roku PIN if you set one up during device configuration
Step 2: Launch the Channel and Get Activation Code
Now we can open the channel and grab the activation code to link your device:
- Return to Roku Home screen and launch the WSMV channel
- Sign in with your WSMV account credentials
- An activation code will display on screen – write this down!

Step 3: Enter Activation Code at wsmv.com/activate
Time to head over to the WSMV activation page and enter your code:
- Open any web browser and go to wsmv.com/activate
- Sign in with your WSMV email and password
- Enter the activation code when prompted
- Follow the on-screen instructions to link your Roku
And that’s it! Your Roku should now have full access to all your favorite WSMV shows, news, weather and more. Enjoy!

- Go to wsmv.com and click the Login icon
- Select “Register here” next to “Don’t have an account?”
- Enter info like Username, Email, Password, etc.
