Activate Online at citi.com/activate
Activating online is crazy fast and easy. Just have these handy:
- Your new card
- Stable internet connection
- Your Social Security Number
Then:
- Open your browser and head to citi.com/activate
- Enter your full 16-digit card number (no spaces/dashes)
- Click Continue
- Enter your Social Security Number when prompted
- Create a card PIN if asked
- Double check all details are correct
- Click Activate
You’ll get a confirmation message once it goes through. So easy!
Activate by Phone
If you prefer activating over the phone:
- Call the number on the back of your card
- Follow the voice prompts to enter your info
- Set up a PIN when asked
You’ll get a confirmation when activation is complete.
Use the Citi Mobile App
To activate on your smartphone:
- Download the Citi Mobile app (iOS or Android)
- Tap “Activate a Card”
- Enter your card details and personal info
- Create a 4-digit ATM PIN
