What You’ll Need
- Your new phone
- SIM card (came with your phone)
- Laptop or desktop computer
Once you have those 3 things, you’re ready to get started!
Step 1: Insert the SIM Card
- Locate the SIM card slot on your phone (check manual if unsure)
- Gently insert the SIM card provided by Boost Mobile
Step 2: Visit the Boost Mobile Website
Go to boostmobile.com/activate on your computer.
Step 3: Select “Activate New Device”
Choose the option to activate your new phone. You’ll be asked for some basic information.
Step 4: Enter Your Phone’s Identification Number
- This will either be the ESN, IMEI, or MEID number
- You can find this unique ID printed on the box or inside the phone’s settings
Getting Your Phone Number
Next, you can choose a new phone number or transfer your existing number.
New Phone Number
If selecting a new number with Boost Mobile:
- Enter your zip code
- Pick the number you want
- Complete account setup
Transfer Existing Number
If bringing your current number to Boost:
- You’ll need your account # and transfer PIN from old provider
- Make sure old account is fully paid off
- Complete transfer process on Boost website
